Polarnis Shadow Knows is one of few songs that I can enjoy from the beginning till the end. There's not a single dull moment in it and the climax is incredibly powerful. Drums are exceptional. Lyrics cut deep and including Jung's recording was ingenious. I heard a short preview of this song and it immediately caught my attention. I knew I had to find it. It's like a hidden gem. Favorite track: Shadow Knows.

Can I dream while I'm awake? The world was happy in my sleep. Is there a pill that I can take To make my life more like my dream? (Whoah, whoah) What do I do when I wake And the dream just starts to fade away? What a shame, it's such a shame. What keeps you grounded anyway? Rise and shine, man. It's time to chase you gold. Rise and shine, man. This whole world is yours. I could walk amongst the crowned. I never fear what they have to say. I just bounce and bounce around. My dreams of gold will guide my way. Rise and chase your gold. Rise, this whole world is yours. (x2) What do I do when I wake And this dream just starts to fade away? What a shame, it's such a shame. What keeps you happy anyway? Here I am, I'm wide awake. Sailed across the bridge of sleep. Still I rise and still I chase That gold that I found in my dream.

Shadow Knows 06:06
I know you're scared of what may come. I'm feeling anxious too. The way we've changed might be too much for some. I still believe in you. You're afraid of what the shadow might show you. Afraid of what the shadow knows. Guilt, shame and shit that you've been through Create this shadow in your. You're afraid of what the shadow might show you. Afraid of what we already know. I hear the message in your pain. No body hurts in vain. The way you learn might be too much to take. How else would you be great? You're afraid of what the shadow might show you Afraid of what your shadow knows. Guilt, shame and shit that you've been through Create this shadow know you. You're afraid of what the shadow might show you. Afraid of what we already know. Fear, hate and shit that you cling to Create this shadow Create this shadow in you. C.G. Jung: "We are so full of apprehensions, fears, that one doesn't know exactly to what it points. One thing is sure, a great change of our psychological attitude is imminent. That is certain. Because we need more. We need more psychology. We need more understanding of human nature because the only real danger that exists is man himself. He is the great danger and we are pitifully unaware of it. We know nothing of man. Far too little. His psyche should be studied, because we are the origin of all coming evil." Guilt, shame and shit that you've been through Created this filth out of you. Fear, hate and shit that you cling to, Your shadow will fester in you. (Time to pull it out to the light) Torn apart from you conscious mind, Down in the darkness he grew. All the things you're ignoring, He projects them out for you. Life passes by and you've never cared That your shadow has overgrown. Blame the world you're still unaware. The light and the shadow are your own. It all begins and ends with you.
